The palate is delicate yet exudes a textural sensation from our high elevation, cool climate Garnet Valley site which provides exceptional hang time for our later sparkling harvest. FREE FORM VIN GRIS 2018

Vin Gris was made from Pinot Noir grapes grown in Summerland, harvested in late October. The wine was whole bunch pressed to small concrete eggs, fermented with native yeasts that went through full malolactic fermentation and was bottled unfiltered. This wine highlights the delicacy and fruit forward notes of whole-bunch-pressed Pinot Noir from a certified organic vineyard. This Vin Gris exhibits savoury herbal notes which lead into a finely balanced expression of Pinot Noir with texture from concrete fermentation and aging.

FREE FORM SAUVIGNON BLANC 2018

Skin contact takes varietals to a new dimension – something you may need to recondition your palate to. But when you are there, strap on your spaceship. Made the way nature intended. Warming, hugging, comforting. A savvy like no other. The wine was made in stainless steel and amphora using native yeast where it aged on skins for nine months. It was pressed and left to rest for an additional two months before bottling unfiltered. Tropical grapefruit and guava, a spiced salinity carries into a juicy and briny flavour explosion. Delicate tannins provide excellent structure and length in this very complex Savvy.

FREE FORM WHITE 2017
Retail: $27.90 / Club: $23.72

This wine is a blend of three white varieties: Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Viognier sourced from three different vineyards. The grapes were destemmed and left to ferment using native yeast with the Pinot Blanc in concrete and the Chardonnay and Viognier in separate large oak barrels. After eight months of ageing on skins, the wines were pressed off and blended into a single large concrete tank in late June and bottled mid-August 2018. Notes of guava and fresh pineapple intermingled with a slight floral herbaceousness. The palate is crisp with juicy acidity, tropical fruits and firm structure that will reward pairing with roasted lemon poultry and hearty vegetables.

FREE FORM RIESLING 2018

Made from certified organic Riesling from Garnet Valley Ranch, the grapes were fermented in clay amphora with native yeast and then aged in stainless steel. The wine was  filtered before bottling. Mouth-watering acidity. Enhanced glycerol notes, loaded aromatics, explosively fresh and textured.

FREE FORM ROSÉ 2018

Certified Organic Cabernet Franc from Osoyoos was gently squeezed to create this delicate rendition of Rosé. Naturally fermented in concrete, full malolactic fermentation and extended lees aging with no SO2. This Rosé exhibits red berry aromatics leading to a harmonious balance of lush sweet and savoury fruit and a juicy framework of acidity.

FREE FORM CABERNET FRANC 2017

Cabernet Franc from an organic vineyard in Kaleden was destemmed and put into two clay amphorae and three large oak vessels. Native fermentation started spontaneously and finished in spring. After eight months of skin contact the wine was pressed off in June and blended to a concrete tank to settle naturally and bottled mid-August 2018. Nuances will unfold in time although a pleasure to drink now. Showing the masculine side to a very feminine variety. Dark black plums with black berry fruit, a smoky note with rich mocha and classical cabernet franc herbal aromatics. Juicy red fruits dance with excellent structure and our hallmark mouth-watering freshness.

FREE FORM CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2018

This organic Cabernet Sauvignon from Osoyoos was unencumbered from any additives or oak aging. Fruit was destemmed and put into stainless open tops. Native fermentation started spontaneously and grapes were punched down twice a day by hand. After 11 months of concrete aging post basket pressing the wine was settled naturally and bottled. Bright lifted red fruits give way to a mouthwatering and delicate yet brooding palate. Lush textural notes are framed by supple tannins, fine acidity and a very lengthy finish.

HAYWIRE THE BUB 2017

This vintage is a shining example of what the Okanagan does best – crisp, fresh and delicious. Vibrant and alive with brioche and citrus notes. Layers of leesy autolysis meld with a delicate and very fine mousse. Bone dry and versatile. This wine represents the amazing ability of Okanagan Valley to produce classical traditional method wines and more importantly our dedication to organic farming and land stewardship.

This special cuvee was bottled in early January, 2014 and remained on its lees en tirage for 52 months. At disgorgement we chose not to add a dosage, believing the wine had achieved balance all on its own.

HAYWIRE SWITCHBACK PINOT GRIS 2018

Harvested in two separate lots the grapes were whole cluster pressed to concrete tanks and fermented using native yeasts. The wine went through full malolactic fermentation and was left on gross lees for 10 months. The wine was bottled unfiltered. The wine has a creamy mouthfeel with lively acidity and displays citrus and stone fruit characters with hallmark Okanagan herbal notes on the palate.

HAYWIRE SECREST MOUNTAIN CHARDONNAY 2018

The wine was whole bunch pressed into two egg-shaped concrete tanks for a long, slow native ferment followed by malolactic fermentation. It was left on gross lees to build texture and richness for 10 months before bottling unfiltered. Clean fruit driven style backed by a creamy, textured mouthfeel framed with mouth watering acidity.

HAYWIRE GAMAY ROSÉ 2019

Gamay was whole bunch pressed into a mix of both concrete (80%) and stainless steel (20%) for fermentation using native yeast. The wine was fermented dry and then pressed to concrete tank and left on lees for six months. Filtered prior to bottling. Mouthwatering acidity with lifted red fruits balanced by savoury herbal notes. Coated in orange blossoms that lead to a dry yet lush and mouthwatering rosé.

HAYWIRE GAMAY 2018

Gamay grapes from our organically farmed high elevation Secrest Mountain Vineyard were gently destemmed with a portion left whole cluster for carbonic complexity. Fermented in a combination of open top and concrete fermenters before ageing for eight months in large concrete tanks. The wine was bottled in June 2019 unfiltered. Ripe raspberry aromas and flavours with a dusting of chocolate leads to a complex wine with lush texture. Bright acidity is framed by gentle tannins.

 HAYWIRE SECREST MOUNTAIN VINEYARD PINOT NOIR 2019

This Pinot Noir was destemmed to stainless steel open tops for twice daily punchdowns. The wine was pressed off to Nico Velo concrete cylinders for ageing and bottled unfined and unfiltered in August 2020. Seamless, silky, and sensuous. OCP’s trademark texture with bright acidity shine through. An epic expression of the Secrest Mountain Vineyard. A lavish aroma of delicate forest floor and bright berries entraps the senses with hints of mocha. This wine is the perfect accompaniment to charcuterie boards with light cheeses, grilled salmon, and light pasta dishes.

HAYWIRE GARNET VALLEY RANCH PINOT NOIR 2016

This wine is made with native yeast, zero cellar intervention; reflective of our terroir, farming practices and vintage. This wine was made from clone 828 Pinot Noir, harvested late September. Fermented using native yeast in 800-litre clay amphorae where it aged on skins for nine months, it was pressed and left to rest for an additional two months and bottled unfiltered. No SO2 or other additives were used. Intensity, and lots of it; a sweet fruit entry followed by great concentration and mouthwatering acidity with dark black fruits, fruit cake and mocha.

HAYWIRE GARNET VALLEY RANCH PINOT NOIR 2017

Brooding aromas of cherries and dark red berry fruits intermingled with mocha and an oyster shell salinity. A delicate entry of red and black fruits compliments a savoury herbaceouness unique to Pinot Noir. This lively, fresh bubbly was crafted from grapes grown on our Summerland and Oliver vineyards. Secondary fermentation took place in state-of-the-art charmat tanks; designed to lie on their sides, exactly like traditionally-made sparkling wine is aged. Toasty, creamy notes round out the medium-bodied mouthfeel. Hints of wild strawberries with a touch of sweetness and mouthwatering acidity; the body is fresh and lively with lovely depth.

NARRATIVE PINOT BLANC 2019

Pinot Blanc from our organic farmed Secrest Mountain Vineyard exhibits delicate stone fruits on the nose, our hallmark texture is rich and mouth filling with layers of Okanagan herbs and ripe apple. Whole cluster pressed to Nico Velo Rectangle concrete tank for fermentation and full malolactic fermentation then aged for six months in a concrete egg. Bottled April 17th, 2020.

NARRATIVE RIESLING 2018

This wine is a showpiece of what the Okanagan can do with Riesling. Powerful, intensity is off the charts while balance is impeccable and ageability is decades. Whole bunch pressed with a combination of fermentation in both stainless steel and concrete. This wine endured a long slow fermentation for retention of fresh and zesty aromatics. Powerful, intensity, textured, racy acidity, with a kiss of natural residual sugar left over naturally from fermentation.

NARRATIVE VIOGNIER 2018

The florality of this varietal is exceptional – like walking into a florist on a hallmark holiday. Slow fermentation in concrete tanks has created an intense textural viscosity on top of what this beautiful varietal already displays. Oily and rich with deep tropical notes and a very lengthy finish.

NARRATIVE VIOGNIER-SYRAH 2019

This delicious rosé was created by reversing a pretty traditional style of Syrah/Viognier by going 80% Viognier – 20% Syrah and co-fermenting them in open top stainless steel tanks. The combination leads to a textural sensation, inherently lush and rich, the Viognier has a touch of spice and pepper backed by red berries and a light yet food friendly structure.

NARRATIVE SYRAH-VIOGNIER 2018

Syrah is an Okanagan staple – a red that is incredibly suited to our soils. This rendition was co-fermented with Viognier in clay amphora and left on skins for nine months to enhance the aromatics and provide a silky mouthfeel. Additional Syrah was fermented in concrete and aged in amphora adding spice and texture to the wine while showcasing rich red fruits. Aromatic intensity with additional Viognier exemplifies this world renown style with an Okanagan twist.

Narrative Non-Fiction is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc from a Certified Organic vineyard in Osoyoos. Fermented and aged in concrete vessels for 8 months, the wine provides aromas of wild herbs and dark berry fruits that lead into a lush textural mouthfeel and fine supple tannins with a fresh lengthy finish.

NARRATIVE CABERNET FRANC 2017

A blend of Cabernet Franc grapes sourced from the Black Sage and Golden Mile Benches in Oliver, BC. The wine was fermented and aged in concrete tank for 9 months prior to bottling in late July 2018. Powerful flavours of red fruits are coupled with elegant mid palate weight and a supple finish.

NARRATIVE MALBEC 2018

This Malbec was sourced from the Cabana Vineyard on the Osoyoos lakefront. Fermented in Nico Velo concrete tanks and aged on its lees in concrete for 10 months has led to this minimally intervened wine. The warm southern days combined with the cooling lake effect has produced a rich and luscious wine with great retention of natural acidity and freshness. Warm violets and blackberries explode on the palate with soft sensual tannins coating the mouth. Enjoy with rich hearty meals or fresh air.
