Follow her lead: Christine Coletta is recognized by the BC Food and Beverage Association

Our team is thrilled to announce our co-owner and boss lady Christine Coletta was honoured with the Leadership Award presented by the BC Food and Beverage Association.

The BC Food and Beverage awards were streamed virtually on September 24th and showcased the best of the best in the food and beverage industries in British Columbia. Hosted by Fred Lee, the show was presented with a fun Late Show format and included stellar appearances from BC Minister of Agriculture Lana Popham and a message from Dr. Bonnie Henry.

BC Food and Beverage’s Leadership Award was created to recognize professionals blazing trails and guiding peers to take the industry forward and it is unique because it is one of the few awards presented to an individual rather than an organization. This year, the leadership award was sponsored by FCC and presented by the company’s director of commercial financing, Avi Kay.

Christine Coletta is one of the founding members of the BC Wine Institute and the BC VQA program, and she has helped to mentor a number of professionals in the food and wine industries over the last 30 years.

Through her crush work at Okanagan Crush Pad, she has also been involved in the start of a number of new wineries in BC. Her guidance, support and mentorship have landed her the nickname, “Godmother of BC Wine.”

We are so proud of and inspired by our fearless leader!
